Piones for brekkie
”It´s a funny thing coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, feels the same, even smells the same.
You realize what´s changed is you” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
36 hours of flight consisting sleeping on a stone bench in Shanghai, getting stuck in the Toll in Beijing, trying sleeping pills for the first time (didn´t work at all – we were like two zombies oscillating between awake and sleeping) But now.. After four days (and nights) of non-stop sleeping (and eating) – we´re feeling like new borns!
Here is a postcard from the other side of the world. To be back in this village where we grew up (it contains only four typical Swedish red houses with white corners, called sugar boxes) feels absolutely wonderful. To wake up in a real bed and cuddle with our dog Rut for hours after 80 days on the road, is un describable. The light fills the days – from 4 am until 9 pm. It´s cherry blossoms everywhere, the grass is filled with white flowers, the birds have woken to life and the forest whispers about an upcoming summer. May here in Europe is, and will always be, our favorite time of the year.
We are ready now to get lost in the European summer.
